Video Stamp

Download the free trial

The trial is the full app, with no time limit and no sign-up. Every video it produces carries a “TRIAL” watermark until you add a license.

Video Stamp for Windows

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Installs for your Windows user account, so no administrator rights are needed.

Download from the Microsoft Store

Or install it from the Microsoft Store: it’s the same app with the same free trial, and Windows shows no SmartScreen warning for Store installs.

Have a Chromebook? Get Video Stamp for Chromebook (early access).

Already bought? Use the same installer, then add your license (see activating your license).

System requirements

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit (Chromebook: see Video Stamp for Chromebook)
  • About 400 MB of free disk space, plus room for your stamped copies
  • Any modern Intel or AMD processor; 8 GB of RAM recommended for 4K video
  • Optional: NVIDIA, Intel Quick Sync or AMD graphics for faster encoding
  • No internet connection required

Windows “N” editions need Microsoft's free Media Feature Pack.

Installing

  1. Download the installer, Video Stamp Setup.exe.
  2. Optional: check the download. In PowerShell, run Get-FileHash "$env:USERPROFILE\Downloads\Video Stamp Setup.exe" and compare the result with the SHA-256 for this version (1.1.19): 5fca7a0bddd453927c8f07e62a64b3e4e44805700388f4608e224aedd8eefd38
  3. Run the installer and follow the prompts. It installs for your Windows user account and adds a Start menu entry and an optional desktop shortcut.
  4. If Windows SmartScreen appears (“Windows protected your PC”): Video Stamp is digitally signed by Mike Simpson (914 Studio Group). Because this signing certificate is new, Windows may still show a caution for a while until Microsoft’s reputation system has seen enough installs. If it appears, click More info, confirm the publisher shows Mike Simpson, then choose Run anyway. No Run anyway button? Some work PCs turn it off. Click Don’t run, open your Downloads folder, right-click Video_Stamp_Setup.exe, choose Properties, tick Unblock at the bottom of the General tab, click OK, then open the installer again. If your PC still won’t allow it, install it from the Microsoft Store instead (Store installs show no SmartScreen warning), ask your IT department to approve it, or contact us. You can also confirm the file is genuine with the SHA-256 above. If the publisher is missing or a different name, don’t run the file; contact us instead.
  5. Start Video Stamp from the Start menu, then drag a video onto the window.

To uninstall, open Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find Video Stamp and choose Uninstall. Your videos and stamped copies are not affected.

Activating your license

After you buy, you'll receive an email with your license, as a file (.vslic) and as a block of text.

  1. Open Video Stamp and click Enter License at the top of the window.
  2. Choose Browse and select the .vslic file, or paste the license text. You can also double-click the license file.
  3. The licensee name appears in About, and your next export has no watermark.

Each license covers the number of PCs you bought and is activated online once on each PC when you enter it. It then re-checks about once a week while the PC is online, and keeps working offline in between (up to 30 days). Only the license, a one-way code for the PC, the PC's name and the app version are sent, never your videos. To move a license to a new PC, click Remove License on the old PC (this frees its seat) and add it on the new one. Old PC gone? Email us and we'll free the seat. Lost your license email? Email us from the address you bought with and we'll send it again.

Updates

Updates released during your year of updates are free. Video Stamp checks for new versions when it starts, and you can switch this off (see the FAQ) for offline or locked-down evidence PCs. Each update is signed and verified by the app before it is installed.
